Extension Case Reasoning for Intelligent Conceptual Design

چکیده

In recent years, intelligent conceptual design has become a focused attention to researchers since it appears important but difficult for system designs. This paper introduces a new concept, Extension Case Based Reasoning (ECBR), and presents the fundamental ideas of this theory, which originates from traditional case based reasoning theories. With extension information matter-elements (IFME), an extension case reasoning model is established and its corresponding inspiration algorithm is also proposed for conceptual design. In this way, a conceptual design system is realized. By demonstrating a case for design of a speed-reducer, this research successfully develops the prototype of a conceptual design system, which also proves the proposed method is feasible and effective.
